Zoe Jenkins-Hiscox
Zoe Jenkins-Hiscox is a junior attending North Hunterdon High School, where she attends the Biomedical Sciences Academy, a competitive vocational program focusing on topics related to the fields of medicine and health sciences. Zoe is co-president of the Brain Bee Club, which introduces high school students to the field of neuroscience, and helps to lead the Girl Up! Club. Zoe is secretary of North Hunterdon’s marching band, the Golden Lions, where she plays the trombone and is a member of the school’s orchestra. Zoe is active in the YMCA’s Civic Engagement programs and will be serving as co-chair of the World Health Organization for Model UN and as a legislative officer for New Jersey Youth and Government during the 2023 conferences. In addition, she has attended the Conference on National Affairs (CONA) twice as a representative of New Jersey. Zoe is also a regular participant in HOSA-Future Health Professionals and New Jersey Science League. Zoe completed the Waksman Institute Summer Experience at Rutgers University’s Waksman Institute in the summer of 2021 and her analysis of two DNA sequences is published in GenBank. Zoe is currently interested in pursuing careers in biology, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering.
