Yahya Usman

Yahya Usman is a senior at Noor Ul Iman School. His STEM interests include neuroscience, cancer research, and medicine. Yahya conducts computational research on immune dysfunction in glioblastoma, investigating mechanisms that may inform future approaches to treatment. He has also served as captain of his school’s Science Olympiad team for two years, leading the team to state tournaments and regional victories. Outside of research, Yahya serves as a Student Ambassador for the South Asian Mental Health Initiative & Network, connecting South Asian communities with mental health resources. He hopes to translate scientific discoveries into more effective, accessible, and patient-centered care.
