Violet Fischer

Violet Fischer is a senior at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES). Focused on zoology and estuarine ecology, she researches snail behavior in Barnegat Bay and has been recognized at the Jersey Shore Science Fair, Delaware Valley Science Fair, and as a poster presenter at the New Jersey Southern Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. At MATES, Violet supports peers on the Research Assistance and Development team and serves as an assistant coordinator for events with Project Terrapin, raising awareness of local species like the Northern Diamondback Terrapin. Beyond STEM, she is vice president and co-editor of the literary magazine Message in a Bottle.
