Vimbisai Basvi

Vimbisai Basvi is a senior at North Bergen High School. She is graduate of the Accelerated Learning Academy Applied Mathematics Track Web Dubois Scholars; NJIT Computer Coding Program-FEMME 9 and FPS(Physics) program; Farleigh Dickinson University's technology, cyber security and math programs and the Columbia University AI4All program. During her years in high school she has volunteered over 100 hours of service in school and outside school events. In her sophomore year, she co-founded Students Standing Strong, a Christian-based club which encourages others in their spiritual journey's. She was Vice President (Sophomore year) and then President (Junior year) of the Society of Hispanic Engineers Chapter at North Bergen High School. She is the incumbent North Bergen High School chapter National Honor Society President. She is a member of the Model UN team at her school and has won awards participating in the club conferences. She has found her passion in Computer Science and enjoys coding in her spare time.
