Sweksha Mehta

Sweksha Mehta is a junior in the Sustainable Sciences program at Union County Vocational Technical High School in Scotch Plains. She has conducted research on the mutations and diseases related to Tumor Necrosis Factor and has also studied the effects of acidic precipitation on the environment. She is a highly active member and leader of school clubs including, Technology Student Association (TSA), Math League, Student Council, Speech and Debate Team, and Relay for Life. Outside of school, Sweksha co-founded a STEM Program to encourage younger children to pursue their interests in different career pathways. Sweksha also conducts data analysis for STEM-E, a nonprofit organization. She hopes to pursue a career in bioengineering and neuroscience.
