Suchit Bapatla
Suchit Bapatla is a senior at the Academy for Mathematics Science and Engineering in Rockaway. He is part of the Math, Technology, and Social Studies honors societies and has taken various STEM-related Honors and AP courses. He is a captain of his physics team which has won awards at the NJAAPT North Jersey state competition and is also a member of Science Olympiad, Cyber Patriot, and Hope Club. He is a varsity Tennis athlete (2019 second team all-conference), an academic athlete medallion winner, and a two-year witness on his Mock trial team (2020 county finalist). He is a third degree black belt and volunteers at Kids to Kids where he teaches Taekwondo to special needs students. Suchit is interested in machine learning, computer science, and their applications. In 10th grade, Suchit was selected for Princeton's AI4ALL program where he worked on a melanoma classification algorithm. In 11th grade, Suchit participated in Kean’s GSSRP program where he worked on a variety of machine learning and chemistry projects. Suchit hopes to major in computer science with a minor in physics.
