Sindhu Suresh, Ph.D.

Advisory Council Member

Sindhu Suresh leads the Grid Platform Management division of Utilities technologies which encompasses planning, implementing, and managing the utility technology and digital needs for PSE&G Electric Operations. She is responsible for the implementation of ADMS (Advance Distribution Management system) for PSEG. Before joining PSEG, she was with Siemens Corporate Research for around 10 years developing innovative and cutting-edge technologies in the field of Power Grid and Big Data Analytics. She started her career in US with PIRA (S&P Global ) where she focused mainly in developing energy market models.

Sindhu received her PhD in Electrical & Computer Science Engineering from NYU with a minor in finance. She is an adjunct professor in Columbia University, teaching graduate level course in the field of Smart Grid Technologies. She was an adjunct professor in NYU for 6 years, where she taught power system regulation and economics for graduate class.

Sindhu has several patents and authored several technical papers in the field of power grid . She won Edison patent award from R&D council of NJ in two consecutive years for her contribution in the field of smart grid.

Sindhu is known in her community for her service in the field of STEM. She is the community chair of Women in Technology , employee business resource group of PSEG. She mentors many high school and college students who are pursuing a career in the field of Engineering.

She runs several research programs during summer months for high school students , the most distinguished one among those is the Allies Against Covid -19 Nationwide research program with help of AGRAJ Seva Kendra and Siemens.
