Sindhu Suresh, Ph.D.

Advisory Council Member

Sindhu Suresh is a senior project manager in the department of Business Analytics & Monitoring of Siemens Corporate, Corporate Technology. Her main responsibility is to develop innovative and cutting-edge technologies in the field of cyber physical security analytics of power grid. Sindhu is also responsible for developing technological portfolio field of Big Data Architecture and Artificial Intelligence for Energy Sector.

Before joining Siemens, Sindhu worked at PIRA (S&P Global) for 3 years, where her focus was in developing mathematical models for energy market.

Sindhu received her PhD in Electrical & Computer Science Engineering from NYU with a minor in finance. She was an adjunct professor at NYU for 6 years. She taught Power System Regulation and Economics for graduate class.

Sindhu has several patents and authored several technical papers in the field of grid analytics. She won Edison patent award from R&D council of NJ in two consecutive years for her contribution in the area of smart grid.

In addition, Sindhu is the co-chair of Asian Employee Resource Group of Siemens. She is the coordinator of Agraj Seva Kendra, a non-profitable organization which focusses on preserving and promote Asian Indian culture and traditions and to promote diversity among individual. Currently she is running a voluntary research program for high school students known as Allies against COVID-19, with the help of Agraj and Siemens.
