Shuohao Ping

Shuohao Ping is a senior student majoring in computer science and mathematics with a minor in data science in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University New Brunswick. As an undergraduate research assistant, he has worked in the Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation at Rutgers for two years, studying problems related to rail safety. He believes that Artificial Intelligence will significantly improve the quality of public transportation and make people’s life more sustainable. He is also a peer instructor at Rutgers, teaching the First Year Interest Group Seminar, a seminar class for freshmen. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in computer science after graduation from Rutgers and become a professor at a university.
