Shubhranshu Dutta
Shubhranshu Dutta is a senior in the Biomedical Sciences Academy at the Hunterdon County Academies, a competitive admissions vocational-technical high school which specializes in healthcare and medicine. Shubhranshu is the president of his school’s Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Red Cross chapters. He is an active leader and member in his school’s numerous extracurricular organizations such as Model UN, French Club, Science League / National, National Technical, Science, and French Honor Societies and was a rank holder in his school’s AMC 12 competition. In the past, he was a participant in Rutgers University’s PHocus and WISE programs, the latter in which he analyzed DNA sequences of landoltia punctata which were published in NCBI’s GenBank. He has additionally interned at the FDA’s Oncology Center of Excellence. As a coauthor for a research paper concerning the incorporation of wearable sensors data to provide real-time analyses for clinical trials, Shubhranshu won the Best Paper Award at the annual PharmaSUG conference. Integrating AI-ML techniques to conduct further cross-disciplinary research on the image analysis of retinal scans, his paper was selected for presentation again in 2021. Shubhranshu runs a nonprofit dedicated to spreading awareness about eye health and hopes to pursue a career in ophthalmology in the future.
