Shriya Dani

Shriya Dani is a junior at Ridgewood High School, where she is a member of the Ridgewood Academy for Health Professions (RAHP), a rigorous 3-year program that provides a challenging curriculum combined with health care related projects, labs, and research experiences, along with explorations, internships, and mentorships at Valley Hospital. She is Founder and President of Helping Hands Ridgewood, a volunteer tutoring club that aids elementary schoolers in their studies. She is also Co-founder and Vice President of Konnekt Global, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, striving to implement sustainable projects and make a positive impact on local and international communities. With her service to these organizations, Shriya has reached the gold level in the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. Her leadership positions in school clubs and her youth group have led Shriya to become a Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership ambassador. Recently, Shriya joined her school’s Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam, which has developed a water bottle that self sanitizes using solar energy, while also saving lives, reducing plastic waste, and turning dirty water into safe drinking water. Shriya hopes to continue her studies in medicinal science and technology, while also feeding her passion for management science and community service.
