Rasesh Bhatta

Rasesh Bhatta is a senior at McNair Academic High School. A first-generation, low-income student and Nepalese immigrant, he taught himself computer science through YouTube tutorials and hands-on hardware repairs. Rasesh serves as president of his school’s Computer Science Honor Society and Vice-Lead of its American Computer Science League Senior Division team, where he was an international finalist in topics including assembly programming and graph theory. He also placed among the top 31 of approximately 500 teams in the Wharton High School Data Science Competition after building Python- and SQL-based predictive models. Outside of STEM, Rasesh runs a freelance design portfolio and has competed in cross country and track and field for four years.
