Muzen Mohamedsaeed

2026 Scholar

Muzen Mohamedsaeed is a junior at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School. She conducted research through the American Chemical Society (ACS) Project SEED program, studying the corrosion behavior of bioactive glasses in simulated body fluid to evaluate their use as bone implants. She presented her work at the ACS SEED Symposium at Seton Hall and the ACS Fall 2025 Conference in Washington, D.C. Muzen has also investigated electroencephalogram (EEG) neural waves for controlling robotic cars as part of research presented at the Hudson County District Science Fair. Her STEM focus lies in biomedical engineering, with a goal of developing more comfortable and affordable prosthetics for underrepresented communities. Beyond STEM, Muzen is Vice President of her school’s Student Council, contributes to the Youth Foundation of Jersey City, and plays tennis on the junior varsity team.
