Mrunmayi Joshi

Mrunmayi Joshi is a second-year biology and mathematics major in the Honors College at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). She is currently researching the biochemical mechanisms of blast traumatic brain injury (bTBI), which is caused by shockwaves released in explosions. To further her research into military injuries, she is an intern in the Military Exposure Medical Literature Evaluation Team. She is passionate about developing therapeutics for neurological problems, both chemical and mechanical. She is also the managing editor of NJIT’s weekly student-run newspaper, The Vector, and works with different groups around campus to tell their stories. In the future, she hopes to become a physician and treat neurological conditions.
