Molay Kumar

2026 Scholar

Molay Kumar is a junior at Thomas Edison Energysmart Charter School. He has researched cardiac metabolic pathways, focusing on lactate in cellular respiration, and contributed to computational biology projects analyzing myeloma cell genomes. Molay was recognized as a USA Biology Olympiad Semifinalist and serves as captain of his school’s HOSA chapter. He is also a Student Council representative and participates in Model United Nations. Beyond STEM, he interned in the Edison Mayor's Office, gaining experience in public service and politics. In his free time, he enjoys Lego building and exploring creativity through design. His main interest lies in cellular biology.
