Meera Nair

Meera Nair is junior at Biotechnology High School, Monmouth County Vocational School District. She is on the executive team of the Agraj Seva Kendra Youth Wing and has coordinated and participated in the Agraj Youth Festival, AlphaHacks I, Allies Against COVID, India Day, STEM Day, and more. She is also involved in other SEWA events like fundraisers for the neurodiverse, food drives, soup kitchens and blood drives. Meera has earned her the presidential gold medal award in 2020 and 2021 for community service. She has conducted research on COVID-19 and has published/presented it at an undergraduate symposium and Junior Science and Humanities Symposium Rutgers. She has participated in STEM leadership programs like BOLD at Rutgers and the Merck Drug Discovery course. Her passion for the arts led her to create “JWALA”, a group for teenagers who share her passions, and she has choreographed to dance at various events. She has been playing travel soccer for the past 10 years and is a graduate of Indian classical dance after over 10 years. She is an active member of her school Arts and Entertainment club, an officer of her school Technology Students Association branch and part of the Science Competition Club.
