Maya Mann
Maya Mann is a junior biology student at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). In pursuit of an equal healthcare system, she has partnered with Sadie Nash Leadership Project, became one of their ELLA fellows, and created the organization We Believe You to advocate against the inequalities women of color face within healthcare. For her academic achievements and work done at TCNJ, she was offered and accepted a position in Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation’s most selective and most prestigious
honor societies. She is also a part of the Tri Beta Honor Biology Society, the Bonner Program, and Woman Learning and Leadership. She is now working on research to help decrease the amount of adverse drug reactions for women. In the future, she hopes to become a physician or medical researcher to utilize STEM to create change in our lifetime.
