Margaret Hillyer

Margaret Hillyer is a junior pursuing a B.A. in Chemistry at Rutgers University where she transferred after completing her A.S. in Chemistry from Brookdale Community College. She plans to pursue a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering. Margaret is an NJ STARS I and II recipient. During her time at Brookdale, Margaret was an Honors Mentor for the Honors Program, treasurer for the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and an active member of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society. She received Brookdale's 2020 Outstanding Student Award for the STEM Institute. Margaret is a strong activist for women in STEM and plans to pursue a career in the cosmetic chemistry industry to produce eco-friendly cosmetics.
