Makayla Lecky

Makayla Lecky is a junior at Frank J. Cicarell Academy in Elizabeth. She is one of the top ranked students in her school. Makayla is part of the National Honor Society and the Interact Club. She participated in the National Youth Leadership Forum Engineering at Georgia Tech, where she developed skills for several engineering paths. Makayla is interested in architectural engineering, and her goal is to build a safe environment. She intends to develop an improved community by encouraging more Black women to participate in STEM activities. Outside of engineering, Makayla is on her high school softball team and a national travel team. She enjoys traveling the US for softball tournaments.
