Lee Haglid

Lee Haglid is a senior at Ridgewood High School. They currently hold membership in the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, and the National Latin Honor Society. They currently hold leadership of the BattleBots Club and the Applied Engineering Club. They have had research experience on an MIT grant team focusing on the development of a self-sanitizing water bottle. Also, they have had research experience on an engineering team focusing on the development of a portable cooling blanket for use on trauma patients suffering from blood loss. By using induced mild hypothermia through the blanket, they hope to slow cell death and organ damage. Lee hopes to become a biomedical engineer to develop lifesaving equipment for emergency trauma care.
