Laura Bowen

Laura Bowen is a senior at McNair Academic High School. She has shadowed both a dentist and a general physician through internships, gaining valuable experience in doctor–patient communication that she hopes to carry into a future medical career. In Student Council, she co-led the Menstrual Mavericks committee, which collected 190 packages of menstrual products, and now co-heads the National Council of Excellence (NCOE) committee, coordinating a pen pal program with a local elementary school. Laura also serves as president of her school’s Active Minds chapter, where she helped establish its first wellness room. Outside of academics, she plays volleyball for her school and club teams.
