Lamarr Olive

Lamarr Olive is a senior at Clifton High School. He is a member of Clifton’s robotics team, the Student Council President, and on cross country and track teams. As the lead programmer on the Mechanical Mustangs Robotics Team, Lamarr plays a pivotal role in the robot’s code development, working from the ground up to implement various strategies and algorithms. He has conducted research in orbital determination at New Mexico State University and submitted his findings to the Minor Planetary Center. He also co-founded the Teens Teach Nonprofit dedicated to giving educational opportunities to the youth, and won the Congressional App Challenge for teensteach.org. As an All-Star Code(ASC) Scholar from the class of 2022, Lamarr continues to use his technology skills to help empower those around him, as he has served as a Teaching Fellow at ASC, helped raise funds for a $1200 student scholarship, and just concluded instructing an introduction to Python course.
