Lailah Siabei

2026 Scholar

Lailah Siabei is a sophomore at the Woodbridge Academy Magnet School. She has researched sickle cell anemia, analyzing how a five-gene signature predicts hydroxyurea response, and interned at the Yale School of Medicine supporting health equity initiatives. She has presented her work at conferences and won first place in state competition for Prepared Speaking through Health Occupations Students of America. Lailah leads advocacy efforts as a youth leader with Young Hearts United, supporting pediatric cardiac patients internationally. She is also active in the Cultural Diversity Club, Model United Nations, and varsity track. She hopes to pursue a career in pediatric cardiology.
