Katie Quino

Katie Quino is a junior at Bergen County Technical High School. Her interests include aerospace engineering and developing technologies that can benefit rural and underserved communities. Katie serves as vice president of her school’s Technology Student Association and participated in Code2College, where she developed skills in Python and software development. Through Columbia University’s SHAPE program, she worked with faculty to build a walking robot using Arduino. Katie is also developing STEMRise, an initiative focused on providing coding and robotics workshops to underserved youth, and serves as a school ambassador for Project South America, which supports children in rural Peru.
