June Yin

June Yin is a senior at Watchung Hills Regional High School. In her junior year she placed in the nation’s top twenty in the US National Chemistry Olympiad and attended an intensive training camp. June also placed first in Chemical Engineering Research in the NJ Chemistry Olympics with her team's paper on the development of a vaccine and third in Web Design with her team's website on persistent organic pollutants. In addition, she started and led a team from her school for the Washington University in St. Louis Chemistry Tournament. In the future, June hopes to apply chemistry and other STEM fields to improve people’s lives through medicine. Outside of STEM, June enjoys sports; she is a varsity field hockey athlete and program captain, as well as a varsity track athlete. She is also passionate about art and has been recognized in multiple competitions.
