Joseph Mild

Joseph Mild is a homeschooled senior in high school, attending Somerset County Vo-Tech shared time for Agricultural Science. He has been the Historian and Vice President of the Somerset County FFA Chapter, and has received Third Place in the Nursery and Landscaping Career Development Event. In an effort to better understand how stem cells worked, Joseph conducted a science experiment on lily anthers to figure out the best sterilization method, earning First Prize for it at the Sacred Heart Academy Science fair. Outside of the classroom, Joseph has volunteered for the Appalachia Service Project, worked as an intern at Comeback Farm, and earned his Black Belt at Master Yu's Black Belt Institute. Joseph hopes to get a degree in biochemistry and continue to conduct research in college.
