Johan Claros

2026 Scholar

Johan Claros is a sophomore at Jose Marti STEM Academy. Recognized at the Hudson County STEM Showcase, he studies how perfectionism affects the success of high-achieving students and has researched environmental stressors—heat and oxidative stress—on allergen response in mouse embryonic fibroblasts. He has expanded his STEM experience through Fairleigh Dickinson University’s STEM Discovery Programs (CSEOP and TEOP) and the Partners in Science program at Liberty Science Center. Johan is active in S.H.P.E. Jr., Key Club, choir, theater, and cross-country. He hopes to combine science, health, and global perspectives in future studies.
