Jack Campanella

Advisory Council Member

Jack Campanella, a Governor's STEM Scholars 2019 alumnus, is a Robotics Engineer, previous Walt Disney Imagineer, Researcher with Vijay Kumar at the GRASP Lab at the University of Pennsylvania, President of the Rowan Robotics and Automation Society, and appeared on America’s Got Talent as part of Verge Aero’s performance. He currently works at Vertiq as an Electrical Engineer.

His research on quadrotor design in the Kumar Lab has contributed to the open source robotics community with the development of custom printed circuit boards and power distribution architecture with supporting C++ and C software. Jack appeared on America’s Got Talent as part of Verge Aero’s team where they won the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell. Jack has traveled across the country for drone light shows, warehouse automation, and themed entertainment site work and maintenance.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Magna Cum Laude with a minor in Computer Science, a Certificate in Soft Robotics, and the Honors Concentration from Rowan University in 2023 and he received his Masters of Science in Engineering, Robotics in 2025 from the University of Pennsylvania with a thesis focusing on the intersection of robotics, controls, and embedded systems advised by Vijay Kumar.
