Isha Gangavaram

Isha Gangavaram is a junior at the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences in Somerset County. As a research intern at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, she is currently working on the application of 3D imaging software to monitor cryoablation procedures in real-time to treat prostate tumors. As part of a team of four, she recently utilized her algorithmic and C/C++ programming knowledge to control an Arduino microcontroller with connected sensors and create a robotic performance. She placed first in the Robocup Junior National Competition in the event of Onstage and represented the US in the International competition, ranking in the top 10 in the world. She is excited to learn life-saving skills by becoming an EMT and later aspires to volunteer on her town’s emergency squad. In the future, she hopes to study medicine or biomedical engineering. Isha enjoys playing on her school’s varsity soccer team and has won rookie of the year as a freshman.
