Isabella Castillo

Isabella Castillo is a junior at Science Park High School. As a member of the Universal Youth Group for six years, she takes initiative throughout the community in aiding youth to prepare for leading more responsible lives. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka selected Isabella has a member of his Power Youth Group, which is dedicated to spreading awareness and improvement for all students in Newark. Isabella was part of the STEAM Science Fair, with research on ozone water purification and creating a prototype to provide clean water in developing countries. She is a member of the Helping Hands Philanthropy and Activism Club and works as a manager with her mother’s business, where she handles finance, hospitality, and marketing, among other tasks. Isabella wants to explore civil engineering to provide access to housing, safe water, and reliable infrastructure to other.
