Ethan Chow

Ethan Chow is a senior at Egg Harbor Township High School. With an interest in pure mathematics, he has conducted research on non-classical variants of mathematical fields including knot theory, game theory, and logic and has worked with professors from Stanford University, Louisiana State University, and Stockton University. Ethan participated in Carnegie Mellon University’s Summer Academy for Math and Science, where he received the Young & Winger Math Achievement Award. He has also served as a guest lecturer at universities across New Jersey and is a Chapter Leader of the nonprofit STEMENJ, where he teaches STEM topics to students in grades K–8. Ethan is currently working to construct a new type of non-classical knot with special crossing properties on non-spherical surfaces.
