Essence Toone

Essence Toone is a senior at Kean University majoring in Computational Science and Engineering with a concentration in physics. She is a lead student technician at Kean IT and conducts research applying large language models to automate metadata prediction and quality analysis in digital libraries. Previously, she participated in Princeton University’s Vision and Learning Lab summer program, where she explored the procedural generation of articulating assets for robotic simulation. Beyond research, Essence has engaged in cultural and scholarly enrichment, including studying tradition preservation in China. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
