Diana Neste

Diana Neste is a junior at Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung, where she leads the Math League and is president of the Girls Who Code club. She also attends a computer science and robotics school, Storming Robots, where she works on creating robots to complete assigned tasks, programming in C and C++, and utilizing Arduino technology to fulfill her plans of competing in RoboCupJunior this year. She has taken initiative and has volunteered at a local preschool since the summer of 2019, introducing STEM and coding activities to early learners via her love for these areas, in hopes that they can gain a similar appreciation. During the summer of 2020, she took advantage of the newfound virtual nature of life and exceeded at a full-caliber, Ivy League Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in Java course at Columbia University. She has done all of this whilst maintaining high honor roll status of all ‘A’s in the most rigorous schedules her school has to offer and earning the best grade in her science class every year. She plans to further her education by studying computer science and applied mathematics at the university level.
