Dahlia Diaz

Dahlia Diaz is currently a junior at José Martí STEM Academy. She is a founding member of her school’s Research Club and has conducted research on the antiproliferative effects of limonene and other essential oils for the past three years. She has participated in numerous science fairs, including the 2019 Montclair State Poster Research Competition, in which she won third place and Best in Show. She also won a silver medal at the 2019 Hudson County STEM Showcase. She is a member of the Union City High School swim team, which won the Hudson County Championship title in 2020, and also participates in the Eagle Aquatics Club Team. She enjoys crocheting and embroidery, as well as fishing during her free time. Dahlia's main interests in STEM are biology and medicine, and she hopes to attend medical school.
