Charlotte McLaughlin
2026 Scholar
Charlotte McLaughlin is a junior at the Academy for Health & Medical Sciences at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School. She has conducted research in plant cell biology through Rutgers University’s Waksman Institute Summer Experience and Kean University’s Group Summer Scholars Program. She is a medalist in Science Olympiad for Anatomy & Physiology and Disease Detectives, and she has competed in SkillsUSA Medical Math. Charlotte is also active in service, earning the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award for her volunteer work at Overlook Medical Center. Outside of STEM, she sings with Coriste through the New Jersey Youth Chorus, plays piano, and enjoys spending time with her dog, Sweetie.
