Caitlin Kang

2026 Scholar

Caitlin Kang is a junior at the Academy for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering. She was a research assistant for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Community Engagement Consortium, studying consent-based siting for interim nuclear fuel storage. Caitlin is a member of Science Olympiad and the Physics Club and serves as financial director of Girl Up, a club that empowers women in STEM. She also co-founded her school’s Knitting and Crochet Club, which donates items to local communities. Outside of STEM, Caitlin plays varsity and club soccer, volunteers at her local library, and enjoys piano and reading. She plans to pursue aerospace or nuclear engineering.
