Bill Shen

Zhekai Shen is a senior at Elite Preparatory Academy. He has earned international recognition in mathematics and computer science, winning a silver medal at the Canadian Mathematical Olympiad, joining Team Canada for the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad, and receiving prizes at the Yau High School Science Awards. His projects include MMIDR, a method for detecting AI-generated content; an AI-powered robotic companion for sign language; and Masquerade, a system verifying digital authenticity. Zhekai was a finalist at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair and won the Intel AI Global Impact Festival Country Award. He also founded and captains his school’s rowing club.
