Amy Vazquez-Castillo

Amy Vazquez-Castillo is a sophomore at Passaic County Technical Institute. She researched ethanol fermentation using produce to evaluate the reliability of corn-based biofuel. She has also competed in HOSA, where she now serves as a Member-At-Large. Amy is a long-time member of the Passaic Youth Council under Mayor Hector Lora, collaborating on city initiatives and community service. Outside of STEM and leadership, she runs track and enjoys reading novels. She hopes to apply STEM tools in human resources and public health to improve community outcomes.
