Aliya Laliwala

Aliya Laliwala is a graduate student studying Artificial Intelligence at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Her interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, healthcare technology, software development, and entrepreneurship. Aliya has conducted machine learning research through Pfizer and Cornell Tech on healthcare applications including heart disease prediction and image classification. As a Full-Stack Developer Intern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she contributed to a medical physics web application supporting cancer treatment monitoring. Aliya has also led the development of AI-powered technology projects and founded NJIT Campus Marketplace, taking the startup from concept through development and earning first place at NJIT’s capstone showcase. She is passionate about using AI and technology to solve real-world problems and supporting the next generation of STEM innovators.
