Alex Le is a third-year Ph.D. candidate studying Cell and Developmental Biology at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly schizophrenia, using iPSC-derived cortical interneurons and multi-omics approaches. Alex has complemented her research with hands-on patient interaction through medical internships and is interested in translating scientific research into meaningful outcomes for individuals with neurological disorders. She is also committed to mentorship and has guided high school and undergraduate students in research, including a high school student whose multi-omics project earned fourth place at the Harvard SRI program. Outside of the lab, Alex enjoys singing, dancing, and spending time with her cat, Aldo.
