Achunike Okafor

Achunike Okafor is a junior at Science Park Magnet High School. He is the co-founder and Vice President of the local science club, where he uses documentaries and research papers to formula a thesis for research. He is a participant in the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute at Princeton University, studyng anatomy and physiology and molecular biology. Achunike is a member of his school’s Environmental Club, where he advocates for change in environmental laws by sending letters to elected officials voicing concerns for pH levels in water and lake acidification. In the future, Achunike wants to study biochemistry and environmental science to give back to his community and become a cardiovascular surgeon.
