
Yuri Lin
Advisory Council Member
Yuri Lin is an alumni representative on the Governor’s STEM Scholars Advisory Council. She is an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), studying Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Yuri is an alumni of the Governor’s STEM Scholars and was a member of the Class of 2018-2019.
Yuri has conducted research on suicides in LGBT and racial/ethnic minorities as part of a UCLA lab studying mental health disparities in minority populations. She has also conducted research on cytogenetic abnormalities in hematological diseases, which has been published in the Journal of the Association of Genetic Technologists and presented at the American Society of Human Genetics 2020 Conference. Yuri plans to pursue an MD-PhD and hopes to use her future physician training to guide and inform impactful research that can directly affect patients.
