Xinyi Zhang

Xinyi Christine Zhang is a senior at South Brunswick High School. At school, she leads the Science Olympiad team, where she has placed 1st in the state and top 3 in national invitationals in her events. She serves as the Senior Director at the National STEM Honor Society, which brings STEM resources and project-based learning opportunities to over 40 chapters nationwide. Christine is currently a research intern studying cognitive decline and health literacy. This past summer, she conducted psychology/neuroscience research on olfactory learning and memory in the New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences program. Christine has also pursued biomedical research projects through programs such as the Rockefeller University Summer Science Research Program. In addition, Christine is a Young Member of the New York Academy of Science Junior Academy, where she collaborates with students and mentors to devise solutions to global health challenges. Outside of STEM, Christine is very passionate about art and has received national and international recognition for her artwork. In the future, Christine hopes to pursue neurological research to advance treatment and scientific communication for debilitating diseases.
