Shreyaah Iyer is a senior at John P. Stevens High School in Edison. She is the Lead Coordinator for the Green Cause, an organization whose aim is to bring awareness about environmental issues to young students, giving them a voice in these issues. She has intensified her passion for the environment by being a research intern at Montclair State University, working on a project that aims to address the environmental health impacts of PFAS in drinking water, and synthesize a molecule that can counteract it. Shreyaah is also a part of the Aerotechnology team at her school and regularly volunteers at her local hospital. Shreyaah is devoted to studying the impacts the environment has on medicine, which is what fuels her desire to pursue a career as a physician. Outside of STEM, Shreyaah loves to read books and bake.
