Lola López-Spencer

Lola Lopez-Spencer is a junior at Stuart Country Day School in Princeton. Her main interests lie in the fields of artificial intelligence and biomedical technology, and she is currently working on a research project to automate breast cancer detection through machine learning techniques. At school, she is the software captain of the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team and was nominated by her coach and peers as a Dean’s List Semi-Finalist. In addition, she has served as vice president of her school’s chapter of the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. Outside of school, she has participated in multiple programs to develop her experience in machine learning and currently works as an Inspirit AI ambassador to educate her community on artificial intelligence and promote the field to others. Looking ahead, Lola aspires to pursue her interests at the intersection of machine learning and biomedical technology. Besides exploring her passions in STEM, she loves to run, tutor, and volunteer for her local watershed’s bacterial action team.
