Lindsey Samuel

Lindsey Samuel is a junior at Fair Lawn High School. As Class President and President of STEM Research Club, she is dedicated to serving and helping others, whether in the context of STEM or otherwise. After several first-hand experiences with Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and dementia patients, Lindsey has taken initiative to research these conditions- especially in the context of music therapy- and was awarded for her work at the Spartan Science and Engineering Fair. Learning about how music helped decrease the severity of AD resulted in Lindsey playing piano while volunteering at her local hospital. Outside of STEM, Lindsey enjoys tackling issues within her school district by meeting with her local Board of Education to advocate for equitable opportunities and a more accepting environment for minority students, such as herself.
