Kenny Frias

Kenny Frias is a senior at Diana C. Lobosco STEM Academy who grew up in Paterson and the son of Dominican immigrants. After experiencing a transformative week in the American Legion Jersey Boys State program, Kenny is interested in the intersection between Political Science and Computer Science. As a Congressional Intern at Senator Cory Booker's Office and Software Engineering Fellow at Headstarter, he is focused on improving his skills to accomplish his goal of inciting change in his community. Further, as the head of an international non-profit organization, LatinxTech, Kenny spends his free time teaching Java, Javascript, and Website Development to students from the Dominican Republic to bridge the Hispanic gap in the STEM workforce.
