Joshua Karten

Joshua Karten is a Freshman in the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. They led, facilitated, and managed projects in their high school's Physics Club and have engaged in programs such as the Waksman Student Scholars Program. They have recently participated in the Mathworks Math Modeling challenge to predict the future of remote work. Joshua has also worked as a lobbyist, pushing forward a bill to expand access to mental health services in schools. They are currently interested in studying the effects of microplastics on terrestrial ecosystems. Joshua aspires to help create a more sustainable future through removing our dependence on plastic.
