Audrey Gang
Audrey Gang is a senior at River Dell High School. As the founder and president of the River Dell HOSA chapter, she has organized many events within the local community to raise awareness of various diseases and health challenges. Audrey is also the editor-in-chief of the Ridellion, the River Dell newspaper, and oversees the design and publication of each issue. In addition, she is an active member of various national honor societies. During the past two summers, Audrey investigated the key interactions between stem cells and the immune system during cutaneous wound repair. She is currently conducting research on the role of cytokines in chronic inflammation to delay wound repair as well as the immunomodulatory role of hair follicle stem cells during the re-epithelialization process. In the future, Audrey hopes to practice dermatology and continue to pursue stem cell and immunological research as an MD/PhD. Her ultimate goal is to seek novel immunotherapies for tissue regeneration and cancers. Outside of STEM, Audrey is an accomplished pianist and has received numerous honors and awards. She also enjoys drawing, reading, and traveling in her free time.
