Antonio Abbondandolo

Antonio Abbondandolo is a junior at the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. He is pursuing a biomedical engineering major with a minor in computer science and mathematics. He is a member of the Bantivoglio Honors college at Rowan University and serves as mentor for first year honors students. Antonio previously served as community service chair for the Rowan chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and currently holds the position of treasurer. Additionally, he has conducted research since his freshman year for the LungPredict project at Rowan University where he has helped design an artificial intelligence lung cancer screening program. This project was awarded “Clinic Project of the Year” for demonstrating the potential to excel in real-world applications. Antonio has also conducted research at Thomas Jefferson University over the summer in regards to vital sign monitorization. After graduating from Rowan, he plans to pursue a M.D.-Ph.D. program.
