Andrés Jaquez Cruz

Andrés Jaquez Cruz is a senior at Donald M. Payne Sr. School of Technology. He is an immigrant of Dominican descent. His main STEM interests lie in engineering. He loves to challenge himself in ways that nurture learning. He has been the lead programmer of his school’s robotics club as they compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge. In his free time, he enjoys learning about the impact that STEM could have in world issues. He follows developments across STEM in public policy and education. In the future, Andrés looks forward to being an engineer and impacting lives through STEM.
